Indian Bank to observe March 2017 as Digital Literacy Month
From tomorrow, the public sector Indian Bankwill observe the entire month of March as the Digital Literacy Month. To strengthen the Central Government's policy of cashless economy, the Indian Bank has introduced various tech products and features for the customers every month'', a bank release here today said.
As part of this ongoing process, the bank has decided to sensitize its customers about the Digital Banking services through customer meets, Website, Twitter, You Tube and other modes of communication. Particularly, during the entire month of March, the bank will educate all customers visiting the branches about the Digital Banking services, conduct literacy camp at Institutions, Corporates and places where people assemble, provide ATM, Net banking, Mobile banking and UPI/USSD to all new accounts and ensure all existing accounts are empowered with the services of ATM, Net Banking, Mobile Banking, UPI, Credit card etc'', the release said. Indian Bank's consistent efforts to achieve 100 per cent Digital Banking has showed wonderful results as the customers have won prize money to the tune of Rs 4.19 crores till January 31 this year under the central government's Lucky Grahak and Digi Dhan Vyapar Yojana on a daily and weekly basis.
